Spyro To Hit The Big Screen

According to a Variety report, the next original video game mascot to hit the big screen could be Spyro the Dragon, as Animation Picture Co. has purchased the rights to turn Sierra Entertainment and Vivendi Game’s purple dragon into a CG animated film.
Steve and Dan Altiere will write the script, which is to be based on Sierra’s ongoing Legend of Spyro trilogy. A director has yet to be named.
Is anyone excited? Don’t know about you, but after Sierra picked up the series I lost interest. However, Spyro is a great character and as an animated film has a lot of potential.
