Speaking in an interview with trade publication MCV, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe product manager Claire Backhouse detailed the PSP’s upcoming first-party lineup for European territories, revealing that LocoRoco 2 is slated for a release “this year” in the region.

The key software titles we have coming out this year for PSP include Echochrome, Buzz The Master Quiz, Secret Agent Clank and LocoRoco 2.

It’s not clear if Backhouse was referring to the company’s current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2009, but either way, it’s likely that an official announcement regarding the next installment in the LocoRoco series will made over the next few months.
