Does Sony have plans to extend the LittleBigPlanet franchise to PSP? According to UK-based CVG, the answer is yes. Citing unnamed industry sources, the site speculates that a handheld edition of LBP is already in development at Sony Studio Liverpool.

No other details on the supposed PSP version were given, nor was a possible release date. Bringing the LittleBigPlanet universe to PSP along with link-up capabilities with the forthcoming PS3 version does sound like a great idea, though. Let’s hope this is one unsubstantiated rumor that turns out to be true.
