PSPKVM v0.4.1 – Java VM For PSP

M@x and Sleepper have released a maintenance-focused update to their popular Java virtual machine emulator for the PSP. Known as PSPKVM, it can run both games and applications compiled with Sun Microsystems’ Java 2 Platform Micro Edition toolkit (J2ME) on any PSP that has custom firmware installed.

Alongside numerous bug fixes, version 0.4.1 notably features improved file system performance, as well as support for inputting symbols and numbers while the Chinese language input screen is open. Hit the jump for the full changelog.

* Bug fixes:
- Fixed bug that caused outgoing HTTPS connections to fail
- On-screen keyboard fixed, now opens properly
- Fixed bug that rendered input keys 4 and 6 on the virtual keyboard inoperable

* Input symbols and numbers while Chinese Input is open
* Improve performance of FileConnection InputStream.skip()
