PSP Slim Sales Hit Over 320K In Japan

On launch we reported that the PSP Slim and Lite sold around 130K units on its first day in Japan, and it seems that sales are continuing to surge. Official sales numbers from Enterbrain have revealed that the new handheld has sold a whopping 250,702 units in its first three days.

When you factor that number in with the already sold-out Crisis Core bundle package, a total of 326,645 PSP units have been sold in Japan. Pretty impressive and don’t forget that there is still a few more days left in September, so sales could even reach an upwards of 400K.

Hopefully this shows Sony that if they spent the money and time on getting high profile developers and titles on the PSP (like Microsoft does with the 360), then they can come out on top.
