NPD To Withhold May VG Sales Until July
by June 2, 2010 @ 3:17 pm

Nintendo’s monthly victory dance has been put on hold. Industry leading U.S. sales tracking firm NPD has announced that it will withhold May video game sales data until July. Causing the holdup is a “significant change” being made to the company’s IT architecture as part of an effort to better serve clients and partners.
That means dissecting May’s figures will have to wait another month.
Fitting, we suppose, since outlets will be busy with E3 prep and post coverage this month. General consensus is that the industry saw a significant uptick in sales from the somber month that was April.
