Mega Deal: SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick For $30

Posted by x3sphere at July 7, 2008, 2:52 pm

This is probably the best deal we’ve seen on a SanDisk-branded 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo in a long time, if not ever. Complete with free shipping, online retailer Buy.com is currently offering the stick at a very attractive price of $30 dollars, $50 off the standard list price.

There are no strings attached, aside from the fact that this offer is not an international one, as Buy.com only ships to addresses located within the continental United States.

It's okay if you're on a budget but newegg has 8GB sticks sandisk for $67 free shipping.
Prices will also comedown much more once 16GB and 32GB sticks comeout.

But yeah best I have seen but Sandisk are usually blue colored so this red is maybe generic?

KAV32 says:

B2K24, chill. 32GB is going to a lot already. That's almost the same amount one of the Playstation 3's had.

Ranelar says:

clear cards are high speed, and best for psp. The blue is not high speed... still good, just not AS good. If buy.com were selling the clear red one like your picture depicts, this would be a great deal. It's not the clear red, it's the plain blue, so this is just an average deal, a price that I would never pay above for a 4gb card. Frys often has lexar cards for 17 after rebate, and I just got a 8GB Sony Mark 2 from them for $50.

x3sphere says:

Pic fixed, sorry about that. Anyway yeah I have seen the Lexar branded cards for cheaper, but those often have issues with loading plugins and such. An 8GB Sony for $50 is a great deal though.

Kairu43 says:

I found this recently, it's a 4gb memory stick pro duo highspeed, and I believe an official Sony stick sold by Deal Extreme for like $21 USD. I purchased one so their legit and it works fine. Shipping is free but being their headquarters are in china or something it took about three weeks to ship to the US

Ranelar says:

I heard the rumor about lexar not working with plugins, but which plugins? I bought that 4gb lexar I mentioned, and so far I've used cxmb, remotejoy, and snes and GBA emulators successfully (I forget if those were plugins). The dealextreme card is not a sony card, and unbranded or otherwise "fake" cards like that are reaaally sketchy, I would stay away and just get a lexar if you want a cheap card. Although I did use a dealextreme pandora battery, so I'm not knocking them, you just gotta know what's a deal and what' not.

x3sphere says:

Yeah CXMB and RemoteJoy are both plugins. The ones people have trouble with specifically are CWCheat and Popsloader.

CoMbiNa says:

They ship internationally?
and are those original sticks?

B2K24 says:

I would AVOID LEXAR even if it was dollar a stick LOL

Kairu43 says:

Ranelar, you are correct, my bad, it's not an official sony, but it is a Magic gate. I wouldn't wanna use an off brand stick for pandora's battery (for safety reasons and to be absolutely sure you don't brick your psp),but it works fine for normal use. I use it as my primary homebrew memory card and it works fine. I too bought a pandora's battery from them, which also worked great. Now running 4.01 m33-2 with 1.5 kernal addon instead of 3.71 ofw.

Bottom line: If you don't need it for pandora's battery/downgrade procedures it is well worth purchasing.

Sorry to sound like an ad, but I found them to be trustworthy and they have some pretty good deals.

OR

If you are willing to spend $40 you can pick up an 8gb stick from them instead.

Let's see... The best sticks for the PSP right now would be those Sandisk Extreme III Memory Sticks, or Sandisk Ultra II. The first one is a tiny bit faster than the second, but both are the fastest sticks currently available on the market. They're both obtainable on buy.com at around $55 to $80 the last time I checked.

ekmuas says:

i have a Lexar Stick and everything works fine plugins everthing, but i did have a problem with the plugin once, but i fixed it :)

silver_surfer says:

laz305 says:
