With PSP title Final Fantasy Tactics: Lion War now finished and shipped in the US, co-producer Shingo Kosuge was recently asked what Final Fantasy game he would like to see remade on a next-gen console. The answer may surprise you. Or maybe not.

I would like to see “Final Fantasy Tactics” on a next-gen console. With “The War of The Lions,” we wanted to preserve the game in its original form, but if I had the opportunity someday, I would love to be able to redevelop the game using state-of-the-art technology, in the vein of the movies that we’ve added [to the PSP game].
