Koller: PSP-3000 Battery Life Decreased By 20-30 Minutes

Speaking in a recent interview, Sony Computer Entertainment America product marketing manager John Koller revealed that the battery life of the PSP-3000 will be decreased by 20-30 minutes, due to the larger power draw of the brighter screen.

Battery life will decrease by a small amount, it’s about 20 minutes maybe 30 minutes and that’s because there’s a larger power draw with the brighter screen.

Good news is, despite previous reports to the contrary, the PSP extended battery life pack is not being discontinued and will be available to consumers this holiday season, offering 8-10 hours of play time.

And sony are bitches, can't they put the extended life battery as the default one?

Sony, i don't really mind about losing thirty minutes.
I would sacrifice 30 minutes of battery JUST for the brightness.


plus, i can always use my PSP Phat Battery to make the PSP-3000 more efficient.


but one thing that stops me from buying the PSP-3000 is the price+ the fact that it is Pandora-Proof.


I think this PSP might be either a TA-089, or TA-090, or just a TA-088 V4 motherboard too, because i think TA-088 V3 can't support new hardware and new hardware modules. ( new LCD screen+microphone+new CPU,etc.)

eww 20-30 mins battery cut short because of a brighter screen :( sony should of cut the battery short due to better performance :)

i wouldnt mind 20-30 mins diffrence i mean when i get to my house i just go plug it it in
and i ussaly dont go without charging it for more then 4 hours
