Fearless Spartan warrior Kratos will return to PSP on November 2 in God of War: Ghost of Sparta, Sony announced today. Developed by Ready At Dawn in conjunction with SCEA Santa Monica, the Greek mythology embroiled title chronicles the backstory of our favorite god-slaying protagonist, exploring Kratos’ origins.

While the original God of War on PSP was already a technical marvel, Ghost of Sparta kicks it up a notch with “state-of-the-art visual technologies, higher resolution environments, and greater depths of scale.”

Also scheduled to release on November 2 is a God of War: Ghost of Sparta Entertainment Pack. Priced at $199, the bundle includes a red and black two-toned PSP-3000 unit, a UMD copy of the game itself, a PSN voucher for God of War: Chains of Olympus, a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, and a copy of the film Kick Ass on UMD.

Those pre-ordering at select retailers will receive a massive DLC pack, which consists of a copy of the game’s musical score, a premium PSP theme, a dynamic PS3 theme, an exclusive Kratos PSN avatar, a Legionnaire character skin, and a documentary highlighting a roundtable discussion with past and present faces who’ve served as director on franchise installments.

Thanks, PS Blog.
