Atlus has served up the first promising screenshots of Riviera: The Promised Land. And we say promising, as the game is just looking absolutely fantastic. Sharp, vibrant 2D visuals. Good stuff.

Riviera: The Promised Land is an updated port of the original GBA title, complete with a new dungeon, enhanced visuals, and close to 50 all-new CG scenes. Riviera is scheduled to hit the PSP this July. Not much can go wrong here, the GBA version of Riviera is widely considered to be one of the best GBA RPG titles, and seeing as the PSP port is going to be upgraded with even more goodies, it should be a surefire hit.

Hit up the jump for the first English screenshots.

I have this game for the GBA, and it's so impressive, even on the GBA, with voice acting and crisp, superb graphics. I actually paid $25 bucks for it, used, and love it. I'm gonna have to pick this one up now! :-P
