Dissidia: Final Fantasy Includes Data Install Option

Famed RPG developer Square Enix is taking a cue from Capcom to shorten load times in its upcoming PSP title Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Much like Monster Hunter 2nd G, the fighting game will feature a “Data Install” option, allowing users to install pertinent bits directly onto their Memory Stick. This in turns helps speed up load times, as reading from flash memory is much faster than constantly reading data off a UMD disc. Not to mention, doing so also saves on battery life.

Players will be able to install data in increments of 245MB, 373MB, or 528MB. Hopefully we’ll see more titles adopting this feature in the near future.
