Despertar del Cementerio v7: IDStorage Regeneration

Posted by x3sphere at August 19, 2008, 1:44 pm

Developer Dark_AleX has released an update to his Despertar del Cementerio “Universal Unbricker,” adding the ability to fully regenerate the IDStorage. Meaning if the IDStorage on your PSP has been fully wiped out or contains corrupt keys you will be able to recover it.

Apart from this major addition in functionality, a format flash function has been added to the DC7 menu. As with previous releases, the unbricker can be used in conjunction with a Pandora battery to restore and install custom firmware 4.01 M33-2 on the PSP. Note that newer PSP models housing a TA-088 v3 motherboard are still unsupported.

Installation instructions can be found at the link below. If you already have a previous version of DC installed on your memory stick it is only necessary to copy the DC7 folder to PSP/GAME and launch the application from within the Game menu.

if you have dcv6 on your memory stick and a theme in flash0, you can use the test m33 function in dcv6 to install this. idstorage regeneration... i never thought this would happen!

aet92 says:

x3sphere please update the post of universal unbricker with hellcats pandora installer and with ths despertar please!!!!!

EDIT: ohh you already update the post but it is missing the hellcats pandoras installer rev 4a!

x3sphere says:

@aet92: I tried and Rev 4a won't work for installing DC7, as the paths are hardcoded. Hellcat will need to add support for DC7 to it.

CoMbiNa says:

I'm sure he will soon

Kairu43 says:

Wait so does that mean if I set up a ddc6 memory stick I can just replace the ddc6 folder with the new ddc7 one and it will still work?

(sorry if this is newbish, but setting up ddc6 was my first attempt with ddc, I haven't upgraded ddc before)

x3sphere says:

@Kairu43: No, re-read the post. You need to copy the DC7 folder to PSP/GAME and then run it from the Game menu. It will install all the necessary files during the installation process.

Kairu43 says:

just making sure, didn't want to screw up my cousin's slim, thanks for the help

Chilly Willy says:

biscottealacreve says:

B2K24 says:

OMG I thought people would never see the day of this happening.

how do i know if my memory is now universal unbriker and magic ms?can someone explain it to me?

tnx DAX

casper3d says:

The MS and Battery what you do from there. I am having that problem, When I put in the original buttery it turns on once I put it in so what can I do about that? I think my buttery is a service buttery now so how can I switch it back? I mean is there a way I can put it back to a regular buttery? NEED HELP!:blushing:

B2K24 says:

@tetzumaru If you installed everything correctly then when you insert battery + magic stick you made it will boot up to options you can choose instead of the normal XMB menu.

@casper3d you will know if your battery is service mode for when you insert it in PSP then green power light will turn on automatically without flipping power swtich.

If you wanna keep you're battery pandora for unbricking, but wanna boot the PSP normally, you can install the TimeMachine IPL to all your sticks.

To change your battery back to normal use "OSPBT" it can change serial.

Hanzo_f19 says:

FUCK YEAH!!!!
x3, can you explain us or give us a link where it explains how is this possible? arigato

psp08 says:

ok i have a fat psp that i wanna install cfw on it has the official sony 4.01 on it. I dont have a fat cfw psp, but i have a slim psp cfw 3.71 M33-4. Do i really need a 2nd fat psp that has been mod to be able to mod. I have a fat pandora battery that i receive from a friend. I have a sony 8gb pro duo memory card. So can anyone tell me how to get my fat psp on custom firmware?

x3sphere says:

@fearevil: I'd check out idstorage thread over at lan.st

http://lan.st/showthread.php?t=151&page=39

But in regards to how this was done, the actual method is not being released. Though a lot of effort was put into researching KIRK, the PSP's main decryption engine.

casper3d says:

Thank you so much it worked great!

gijoe77 says:

I seem to have a PSP SLIM that I just can't unbrick. I used this version of DC to format lflash and it gets hung at 95% "Creating partitions..."

BTW, I have a NAND backup but I still can't get it to work, says I have over 3k bad blocks. It didn't complain of any bad blocks when I dumped the NAND.

edit: i'll post a question in the help center as well, not trying to Hijack

silver_surfer says:

@ gijoe77:

use mspformat to reformat and repartition your memory stick.

dyzon23 says:

how bout TA - 088v3?
i wish to know if it still possible to hack? soon?
