Daxter Sells 2 Million Copies Worldwide

Developer Ready at Dawn recently announced that its first PSP title Daxter has sold over 2 million units worldwide. The title was first released to North American retailers in March of 2006, then later bundled as a pack-in with Sony’s redesigned PSP Slim handheld.
It has been widely recognized as the best PSP game of 2006, bundled with new PSPs twice already (once with the new ceramic white PSPs in Europe and once with the new silver Slim PSPs, the best selling entertainment pack by a wide margin). All added together, the game has now sold over 2 million copies worldwide since it’s release.
Daxter has been an incredible success for us, especially considering it was our very first game as a company.
It’s worth pointing out that the figures includes sales of the Daxter PSP Slim bundle package. Still, not bad at all. Will be exciting to see how RaD’s upcoming blockbuster, God of War: Chains of Olympus, performs in comparison.
