Homebrew developer Cpasjuste has released an update to his Custom Firmware Extender plugin, an all-in-one custom firmware plugin that allows users to take screenshots in the XMB or while playing a UMD game, record videos in-game, as well as access USB mass storage and other various features.

Version 3.0 features full support for 5.00 M33 firmware. Note that this release utilizes the extra memory found in Slim units and as such will not run properly on the original Phat model.

This won't run on the Phat at all, or just with less features? Is he just abandoning the Phat? If so, that's too bad. I really like this plugin.

For Phat units he said the plugin works just fine under the XMB, but not when in-game.
