Update: Custom Firmware Extender 2.2

Posted by x3sphere at February 22, 2008, 8:31 pm

Update: Cpasjuste has released version 2.2, fixing a bug that prevented the music playback function from working. If your PSP still freezes up while loading the music menu, the author recommends installing the FATMS driver patch released by Dark_AleX.

Homebrew developer Cpasjuste has released a minor update to his Custom Firmware Extender plugin, an all-in-one custom firmware plugin that allows users to take screenshots in the XMB or while playing a UMD game, record in-game videos, as well as access USB mass storage and other various features.

As mentioned, version 2.1 is a minor update, adding music playback based on music.prx courtesy of joek2100. Do note, however, that the newly added music playback function has been tested in custom firmware 3.90 M33 only.

Additionally, the plugin configuration file is now routinely backed up and restored when switching between firmwares with TimeMachine. As advised by the author, be sure to refer to the included readme file for installation and usage instructions.

EDIT: Yeah, quick bug fix!

Does "accessing USB mass storage" mean any flash disk can be used as a memory stick?

Umm... I have a problem:

I installed 3.71 Fatmsmod 2 and then installed this, but it won't boot my PSP unless I disable the plugin. What's wrong with it? When I boot with the plugin the screen stays black unless I pop out my Memory Stick. Anyone have this problem?

CoMbiNa says:

Im stupid. how to install it?

edit:
fuck me, there's a readme file...

Echo_Mola says:

The in-game reset function is full of crap. When I try to reset a game either in NAND or IPL the game hangs up and will create a ticking sound on the UMD portion of the PSP. It will not stop ticking not until I power down the PSP.

cyrus says:

will this be getting an update for it to work for 4.01 m33?or does it already work for it? if it does,do i still need to install 3.71 fatmsmod?

Noob1234 says:
