3.80 PSARDumper With KL4E Decompression

Posted by x3sphere at December 28, 2007, 9:09 pm

While Dark_AleX is hard at work on custom firmware 3.80 M33, developer HellDashX has updated the PSP decryption tool known as PSARDumper with support for 3.80 firmware decryption.

The updated PSARDumper now supports decompression of KL4E compressed modules — a new compression algorithm found in firmware 3.80.

Thanks to Fadil for the tip!

Such is fate that it looks like 3.80 M33 is gonna be out soon. and I just flashed a XMB theme that I liked onto my PSP.

Acerthief says:

lol Tiger, it's pretty much the same fate for me as well XD.

Hope 3.80M33 comes out soon enough. Just bought a copy of Patapon two days ago.

Acerthief says:

It's for more professionals to use this app. Mostly to check out what's new with the new firmware, and see how to adapt their homebrew (or custom firmware for DAX)

Some times I just use it to get lost files I need.

XJ.08 says:

ok then how we use it or we put it in our PSP
and happy new year 2008

frosty5689 says:

It's mostly for custom theme making(getting the un edited source theme files). PRX editing(for plugins) or examining prx to make plugins. It's not wise to mess with it unless you know what your doing and no you don't put it into flash0 of your psp unless you want a bricked psp.

x3sphere says:

Copy the "newpsardumper" folder to PSP/GAME then get the 3.80 update EBOOT.PBP and copy it to your memory stick root.

jeegee says:

Think you best leave it alone unless you got a pandora???

Acerthief says:

Well if you're sure that after decryption you aren't going to put any files into your flash0 and is just going to examine, there's no need.

XJ.08 says:

oh ya I understand some times we use it as a backUp For FLASH0 when we have a SimeBrick in our PSP with a CFW
and happy new year 2008
