Yescombe On IGN’s Haze Review: “MEGAowch”

Haze reviews have been ranging from mediocre to excellent thus far, but IGN broke that trend today, awarding the title an atrocious – almost laughable – score of 4.5 out of 10. As you’d expect, Free Radical scriptwriter Rob Yescombe was shocked by the review and had this to say to fan site PSU:

My thoughts are “Owch”. No, wait – MEGAowch

MEGAowch indeed. Yescombe is hoping, probably even praying, that gamers do not let the review affect their purchase decision. Haze wasn’t a blow-off project by any means, the game suffered numerous delays and had a sizable budget to boot. For it to receive such a low score from one of the largest consumer games sites must be pretty soul-crushing for the entire development team.
