According to numerous reports on the official UK PlayStation forums, a number of players are experiencing random lockups and freezing issues with the recently released WipEout HD. The bug is an odd one, seemingly affecting only those with over 54 people on their PSN friends list.

SCEE community team leader “MusterBuster” says Sony is looking into the issue. At this time, it’s unknown if the bug will affect the North American release, as the weekly PS Store update has yet to go live over here. Either way, we’re sure that this issue is nothing that a simple patch won’t fix.
