Warhawk 1.3 Patch Detailed, Features HOME Integration

Warhawk game director Dylan Jobe has released details on the game’s version 1.3 patch. The patch will include full integration with Sony’s upcoming Home service, enabling players to form groups, meet in their apartments, discuss tactics, and then launch a game of Warhawk – all straight from within the confines of HOME.

How will it work? Provided that you’re in your apartment, just pull up your virtual PSP, select Create Game and choose Warhawk from the menu prompt. From there you can start up your own server and configure game settings. What’s more, is that you’ll be hide your game from the public and let only friends join. Games launched from within HOME will appear on the server list in the color gold. Nice.

Numerous VO-IP upgrades are planned for the patch. Jobe says players will now be able to select from either PTT or Open-Mic mode, tune the voice-activation level, and enable cross-team chat support.

As for in-game content, the update will feature two new pieces of equipment, including a Mechanic’s Field Wrench and Bio-Field Generator. Some player-created customizations will also be making their way into the update.

That about wraps up this massive update. No set release date has been provided for the patch yet.
