There’s no doubt that PlayStation 3 owners around the world felt cheated when SEGA announced that the Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5 would get an online battle mode, which the PS3 version lacked entirely.

And now, with news of Japan maybe not getting the Xbox 360 version of VF5, many gamers have asked the question: would it possible to release an online patch for the PS3 version?

The answer is a loud and clear yes. Speaking in a recent interview, AM2 Assistant Manager Tohru Murayama said that AM2 could “theoretically” release a patch to add online features to the PS3 version.
