Over at the official Epic Games forums, company VP Mark Rein confirmed that the PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament III has gone gold and released to North American manufacturing.

Although Midway has yet to issue a formal press release to the media, Rein expects the title to ship out during the week of December 10. As for the European release, it is expected to hit early next year as Epic still has a few localization related tasks to complete.
