While a bevy of big-hitters like BioShock 2 and Bayonetta have been pushed back to 2010, Sony is delivering on its promise to release Uncharted 2 this fall. The highly-anticipated title is scheduled to grace retailers on October 13 in North America, the company announced today.

Phase two of the multiplayer demo opens to the public on September 30, with those that pre-order from any participating GameStop location being rewarded with early access on September 9.

Additionally, Sony detailed its pre-order campaign for the title. A variety of retailers will be offering exclusive promotions, some seemingly more elusive than others.

Here’s the breakdown: those who place a pre-order at Best Buy will receive an unlock code for shiny gold Barettas and AK-47s, all available for use in multiplayer. Meanwhile, Amazon is offering an exclusive treasure map, while Game Crazy will provide a currency multiplier good for unlocking bonuses in the game’s online component faster for a limited time only. Lastly, GameStop is offering up an instant unlock code for the “Revenge Attribute,” one the last boosters that can be had in the multiplayer campaign, in addition to early access to the multiplayer demo, as aformentioned.
