Ubisoft has went ahead and launched the official teaser page for Assassin’s Creed 2.

As you’d expect, it’s appropriately cryptic, with much significance being placed on the symbol of Animus. If you recall, this is a device that allow the user to revisit past events and experiences through the eyes of ancestors. Might there be time-traveling of sorts in the sequel? Perhaps, but that’s just conjecture for now. Here’s hoping Ubi comes forward with more details soonish, especially with E3 right around the corner.

Assassin’s Creed 2 is slated for a release in Ubi’s 2009-2010 fiscal year, which runs through now until March 31, 2010.
