:w00t: That sounds great I was about to ask if you had any news of some new firmware that could make that the PS3 detected the GUNCOM 2 cause I`m a fan of this kind of games in fact I have all of the PS2 and when I tried them the GUNCOM is not detected, but now the question is if with this new GUNCOM we`ll be able to play PS2 shoter games, any news will be appreciated

Hmm, yeah... probably because the older light guns are not compatible with HDTVs. So I don't think Sony would add support for them.

As for the new GUNCON... I don't know if it will be compatible with PS2 games. Likely it will be, but I'll see if I can get an answer from Namco. :smile:

Ah, bad news, here's what they said:

the Guncon 2 does work on the PS3 you just need to put in the Game that requires it Reguardless if the PS3 doesn't detect it properly.

Oh! but do you use a normal tv or a hdtv anyway I`ll try on mine and let you know what I find out, thanks to both of you, I guess that if I can`t use them I`ll have to buy a PS2 cause once I tried but don`t remember which game I used, when the screen where you caliber your guncom appeared I could not get out of that screen so it`s a real pity cause the shooter games are one of my favorite ones :crying:

the Guncom 1 & 2 only works on Normal TV's so inorder for one to play the old Time Crisis Games you'd need a spare old Tube TV.

Time Crisis 4's Guncon3 works on all TV sets, like how the Wii mote works, i believe.

Well I just confirm it when you try to use the guncom 2 in a hd tv it does not work so I guess my solution will be to buy a PS2 and play this kind of games in a normal tv, that´s a big shame but it´ll have to wait cause riht now I prefer to save some money and buy the new upcoming games for the PS3, the bigger shame is that at the begining when I first saw this post and the link above I wa thinking that the PS2 gmes will be suported by the guncom 3 but as x3sphere post that´s out of the question.:crying:
