Sony Confirms Licensed Bluetooth Headset For PS3

Back in March we reported on what was purported to be an official, licensed Bluetooth headset made specifically for the PlayStation 3. Turns out it’s real, as Sony confirmed today that the headset in question will be packaged with the retail-exclusive Blu-ray version of SOCOM: Confrontation and also will be sold separately.
Unlike most standard run-of-the-mill Bluetooth headsets, this one in particular will feature a mute button. Additionally, it will ship with a handy USB powered charging dock. The product is slowly exiting the prototype phase, so pricing details have yet to be finalized, but expect more information to come to light as Confrontation nears its scheduled mid-September release.
