This fall, prospective purchasers of a PS3 will receive more value for their dollar as Sony has announced plans to introduce two more bundle configurations. The first offering packs a 160GB hard drive and replaces the current 120GB-equipped bundle for the same price of $299.99.

Carrying a premium price of $399.99, the second bundle is a PlayStation Move-centric one. In addition to a built-in 320GB HDD, it sports a single PlayStation Move motion controller, PlayStation Eye camera, a copy of Sports Champions on Blu-ray disc, and a bonus Blu-ray demo disc for an unspecified title. For those ready to embrace motion-tracking Sony’s Move platform, this is undoubtedly a bundle worth considering on value proposition alone.

According to Sony, these refreshed bundles will effectively replace the current 120GB and 250GB flavors on store shelves in North America. Stock of the aformentioned units will continue to dwindle as September approaches.

While Sony has yet to lay out similar plans for Europe, last July the company updated its range of PS3 offerings in Japan, which coincided with the introduction of a white-colored unit and increased storage capacity.
