Sin City Game Delayed Until 2012, Developer Cites Funding Difficulties

Back in December of 2007, Jackass the Game developer Red Mile announced that it had inked a deal to create a Unreal Engine 3 powered video game based on Frank Miller’s Sin City comic book series. While no release date was announced at the time, word from the company’s latest financial report is that the game has been delayed until 2012.
Worse yet is that the ship date will only be met if Red Mile is able to “raise sufficient funds to continue operations.” Additionally, Red Mile is currently “negotiating revisions to the license agreement.” That essentially means if IP holders fail to come to terms on an agreement, the project may be scrapped altogether.
Hate to say it, but you have to wonder if this one will ever the light of day. Not even taking the financial concerns into consideration, a 2012 date just screams vaporware.
