Developer Playbrains, in collaboration with Sony Online Entertainment, has announced that Sideway is destined to hit the PlayStation Network exclusively in 2011.

The title is described as “a unique adventure platformer set in and around the oh-so-gritty streets of New York City.” Judging from the urban-style concept art, it also appears to share similarities with Sega’s Dreamcast hit Jet Set Radio, at least thematically.

While we’re still in the dark as far as gameplay mechanics are concerned, Playbrains touts that details on “really cool features and unique gameplay elements” are forthcoming, so stay tuned.
