SCEA Imposter Compromises PSN User Accounts

According to a GameDaily BIZ report, two PlayStation Network accounts were recently compromised due to a security breach. The breach was not a result of someone hacking into PSN but rather a PSN user impersonating an SCEA IT employee, whom tricked a customer service agent into granting unauthorized access to the user accounts.

SCEA reassures us that “unauthorized accessing of the two accounts was discovered immediately” and that it is currently investigating the matter as well as implementing additional security safeguards.
