Rumor: DualShock 3 Equipped 40GB PS3 Hitting In August

According to an alleged internal Wal-Mart memo that was passed over to gaming blog Joystiq, the 40GB PlayStation 3 model is due to be replaced this coming August with a “new model.” No further details are given, though if this listing is in fact legit – we’d reckon it’s likely that Sony plans on replacing the old model with a new package that includes the rumble-capable DualShock 3 controller.

Perhaps Sony will manage to shed light on its future hardware strategy at E3.
