Rumor Bite: Big PS3 Update Coming
Posted by x3sphere at May 13, 2007, 11:29 pm

Although nothing has been confirmed by Sony yet, a forum poster from the official PlayStation forums tells us that Sony is prepping one hell of a feature-filled update for the PS3. Allegedly, this new PS3 update will bring RSS channels, dazzling new photo effects, custom wallpapers, the ability to pull up the XMB while playing a game (PSP really needs this feature), and a host of PS1 and PS2 game compatibility enhancements.
Seeing as Sony goons swiftly removed the original post of this feature list on their forums, I guess it’s been indirectly confirmed. PS3 Firmware 2.0 is coming. Soon.
