Rock Band 3 Ships October 26

Rock Band 3 will make its debut on October 26, MTV Games and Harmonix have announced. Backed by a genre crossing 83-track strong setlist and an all-new keyboard peripheral, the title features additional gameplay modes designed to guide to aid those unfamiliar with musical instruments as well as a Pro mode tailored towards professionals and enthusiasts alike.

While the standalone offering will set you back $59.99 across all three major platforms, there’s no official word on what the inevitable keyboard bundle package will cost yet. The portable Nintendo DS version rings in at $29.99.

For those eager to get a jump start on purchasing, Harmonix sends along word of pre-order opportunities it is offering in conjunction with retailers GameStop, Wal-Mart, and Amazon. Hit the break for deets.

GameStop shoppers who reserve Rock Band 3 for PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 in advance receive three downloadable Rock Band songs at launch:

Amazon Pre-order* Opportunity:
Amazon shoppers who reserve Rock Band 3 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii in advance will receive access to an exclusive in-game guitar. Additionally, for a limited time only, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners who pre-order Rock Band 3 in advance on Amazon will receive $10 off a future videogame purchase.

Wal-Mart Pre-order* Opportunity:
Walmart.com shoppers who reserve Rock Band 3 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii in advance will receive a $10 eGift card for a limited time.
