Reeves: WipEout HD Delayed Due To “Tricky Technical Problem”

What’s the status on WipEout HD? Originally scheduled for a summer release on PSN, the futuristic racer was conspicuously absent from this Sony’s E3 showcase this year. Why? Ah, due to a “tricky technical problem,” says SCEE boss David Reeves:
There is a specific technical problem with WipEout that we have to solve. I can’t go into details but it is a really, really tricky technical problem that no region has been able to solve at the moment.
I think it will come out before the end of the year but it is something that was just very difficult to get to grips with.”
Tis a shame. Wonder what the issue is, must be quite serious though. Whatever it is, we hope Sony’s crack team of software engineers can get this sorted.
