Mere hours after the official announcement, firmware 2.70 is now up for grabs via Network Update. The main draw of this update is obviously in-game text chat support, but it also includes a few noteworthy features such as the ability to copy and paste text from within the Internet Browser. The complete changelog is detailed below.
* You can now perform text chat with people who are on you Friends list. You can chat with them while you are playing a game.
* To use this feature, go to [Friends] > [Start New Chat], and then select [Text Chat].
* Using the internet you can now easily search for the latest information about the games you own. To use this feature select the icon for the game, and then select [Internet Search] from the options menu.
* You can now copy and paste text.
* You can copy test from the internet browser and past it into the text entry field of the on-screen keyboard to make it easier to enter text.* You can now set an option to reduce the difference in the volume level between track to help avoid sudden, loud output.
* You can set this option in [Settings] > [Music Settings] > [Dynamic Normalizer].
As per usual, we have included a direct link to the update below for those who wish to install the firmware manually.

Although not quite as feature-packed as people may like, I think that the new chat feature is great. It allows me to quickly shoot off a message to my brother or friends when playing a game.
I'm sure there'll be a couple of hidden features as well that Mr. Lempel (sp?) didn't mention purposely :) If I remember correctly, he said something about not having all of the features included in the video. Guess we get to wait :)
I won't be able to update just yet, thanks for any comments/hints ;)
