PS3 Firmware 2.7 Out This Month, Says Dev

In a post addressing PSN sign-out issues folks have been experiencing with Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, Psyonix Studios developer Corey David let slip that firmware 2.7 is in the works and is expected to be released later this month.

As David is no doubt under NDA, he couldn’t go as far to mention any specific details regarding the update, but did say it will pack “lots of fun new fixes” and “lots of new stuff.” We’re drowning in anticipation. Literally. System software updates for PS3 are often released in tandem with PSP updates, so we wouldn’t be a surprised if a new firmware is inbound for the portable either.

Yeah nice things in the update such as being able to pause game halfway'n access net browser! Be nice for accessing guides, moves list etc!

I want an update that allows the PS3 to be in standby-mode whilst downloading and auto-powers off once all dl's are done, similar thing to the 360 basically, c'mon SONY you can do it! :)
