Time to fire up Network Update: a new PS3 firmware update is available. Firmware 2.53, as detailed earlier last week, adds full screen playback for Adobe Flash 9 content in the Internet Browser. Additionally, playback support for live streams via the RTMP format has been added. Does this mean we’ll be able to watch live footage of PlayStation events in the future? Who knows, but it sure sounds like a distinct possibility now. Apart from those two relatively minor changes, 2.53 is virtually identical to 2.52. Happy downloading!
