Sony has issued a notice notifying customers that the PlayStation Store will be completely taken offline for maintenance tomorrow from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m Pacific Time. What’s going on? Obviously, Sony is prepping for the major store redesign effort that’s scheduled to go live the following day on April 15.
During this time, the new PLAYSTATION®Store upgrade will be taking place. As a result access to the PLAYSTATION Network will be restricted, including:
* No access to the PLAYSTATION®Store
Once maintenance to the store is complete, PS3 firmware 2.30 will be available for download via Network Update. As previously revealed, this firmware update must be installed in order to access the new store.
