It’s taken more than four times as long as Nintendo, but they’ve done it, Sony has sold over one million PlayStation 3 units in Japan.
Since the console’s debut early November, Sony has sold 1.01 million units of the PS3 as of July 15, compared to the Wii’s impressive 2.9 million units sold. The Xbox 360, while popular here in the states, has not yet passed the half million mark in Japan, sitting at 420,705 units sold.
