New Elder Scrolls Pegged For 2010

Sure, Fallout 3 was just released, but not being one to take an idle break, developer Bethesda is already hard at work on their next project. And what could that be? Unsurprisingly, it’s an all-new installment in the Elder Scrolls franchise, according to company publishing executive Paul Oughton. Barring any delays that could crop up during development, the game is pegged for a 2010 release:
At the moment we’ve got Fallout 3 for this year and potentially there’s a new Elder Scrolls title in 2010. At the moment we’re not that interested in the Wii. We’re going to stick to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. We’ll continue to pursue three or four titles a year and go for big titles.
I’m sure most of us will be busy with Fallout 3 for awhile, but regardless, it’s good to hear that the next major installment in the Elder Scrolls franchise is only a couple years away. Here’s to hoping that Bethesda focuses on spicing up the dungeon-type environments this time around.
