Once format neutral, National Geographic has confirmed that from now on, it will only release high-definition titles on the Blu-ray format. The studio joins Warner subsidiaries New Line Home Entertainment and HBO Home Video in the switch to Blu-ray exclusivity.

National Geographic’s first Blu-ray exclusive title will be Sharkwater, which is scheduled to hit store shelves in April. Now, only BBC Home Video remains as the last Warner subsidiary to stay format neutral.
