Mass Effect 2 Coming To 360 First, PC Later

While the sequel to last year’s blockbuster Mass Effect is still very much shrouded in secrecy, BioWare senior manager Matt Atwood has revealed that Mass Effect 2, yet to be officially announced for any platforms, will hit the Xbox 360 first as a timed exclusive.

I believe we’ll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time. We’re still working out the details on that, but we’ve had a great relationship with Microsoft and done very well.

Hmm. PlayStation 3 release anyone? Further to this, Atwood mentioned that the title will hit PCs “as quickly as possible.” Great news for PC gamers, but not so surprising, given EA’s multiplatform focus.

If they want to boost PC sales, releasing on a console first is not the way... though they can always point at piracy for slumping PC sales later xD
