2K Games sends along word that its mobster-entrenched shooter Mafia II will receive a third downloadable content pack entitled Joe’s Adventures on November 23. Following up on Jimmy’s Vendetta, this add-on expansion serves as an extension to the original narrative of Mafia II, chronicling Joe Barbaro’s search to uncover the truth behind his best friend’s imprisonment, Vito Scaletta.

In addition to an engaging narrative, Joe’s Adventures expands on the sights and sounds in Empire City with 20 new collectible Playboy magazines, all-new clothing, and more classical tunes from the 40’s and 50’s. New locations rife with vicious shootouts and heated car-chases await players, including “a train station, the cathouse, a boat yard, a seasonally changing lakefront.”

Also featured are optional city-based quests that place a focus on “arcade action” gameplay, topped off with a point system that ranks player performance by factoring in combos and multiplier bonuses.

Priced at 800 MS Points or $9.99, Joe’s Adventures is due out on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
