With IO Interactive’s gritty shooter Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days now available at retail, publisher Square Enix has turned its marketing focus over to downloadable content. Beginning August 31, three DLC offerings that aim to expand the game’s multiplayer modes are due out. These include the Multiplayer Mask Pack, Alliance Weapon Pack and Doggie Bag Pack.

Look for the packs to expand on weaponry selection with more “tools of the trade,” in addition to all-new heist locations. Pricing details have been shoved under the rug for now.

“Given the history of Kane & Lynch, we expected overwhelming interest, and the initial acclaim solidifies the ever-growing phenomenon and attraction gamers have to the characters and story,” said IO Interactive GM Niels Jørgensen. “And we are proud to be able to extend the experience in the coming weeks with more maps, weapons and toys to heighten the tension and pressure of pulling-off a high profile heist.”
