Over on the official Ubisoft forums, community developer Ubi_Wuzzi revealed that Free Radical’s forthcoming first-person shooter Haze will require players to install 4GB worth of game data to their PS3’s hard drive before playing.

This, of course, is nothing new. GTA IV, Devil May Cry 4, Lost Planet, and Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds all had mandatory HDD installations as well. However, it still boggles my mind as to why these installs are non-optional, considering similar titles like Resistance ran fine with all data loaded directly off the Blu-ray disc.
