Retailer GameStop today announced plans to host a Metal Gear Solid 4 midnight launch event across approximately 1,500 of its brick and mortar store locations across North America. Attendees will be able to partake in trivia contests, a Metal Gear “Big Boss” costume contest, and a sneak peak at the game leading up to the 12:01 a.m. street date on Thursday. Fun!

If you’re interested, the event begins at 10:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday. Before heading out, make sure that your local GameStop is participating in the event by checking the provided store locations list.

GameStop to Host Metal Gear Solid 4 Launch Events Nationwide

GameStop Corp. GME, today announced that it will host events on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at approximately 1,500 of its U.S. GameStop stores for the launch of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots by Konami. These events will include trivia contests, a Metal Gear “Big Boss” costume contest and an exclusive sneak-peek of the game leading up to the 12:01 a.m. Thursday release.

Most participating GameStop locations will begin their events after 10:00 p.m. local time; however, customers are encouraged to contact their local store to confirm the exact time of the event.
