Koei has revealed that its futuristic racing title Fatal Inertia EX will hit the PlayStation Network in late May, with no plans for a retail release. In case you haven’t been following the racer, it was originally scheduled to release alongside the launch of the PS3 but due to various issues with Epic’s Unreal Engine 3, was delayed.

An Xbox 360 version of the title shipped last September and was criticized by many as lacking originality. However, the PS3 release will include a number of new features and gameplay tweaks, according to Koei.
