BioWare Keeping Mum On PS3 Mass Effect

BioWare is still keeping mum over the prospect of a PS3 version of Mass Effect. Ever since the developer joined ranks with multi-platform publisher EA as a result of an acquisition, rumors sparked that the series would make its way to PS3 eventually. But it hasn’t happened yet, and this point, we’re beginning to wonder if it ever will.
However, BioWare isn’t ruling out the possibility. In a recent interview, company CEO Ray Muzyka simply stated that “we [BioWare] haven’t announced anything on that” when pressed on the question of if the title will ever hit PS3.
I think a more accurate way to frame it is to say we’ve announced we’re developing Mass Effect for 360 and PC. Right from the beginning we said we wanted to deliver Mass Effect on the 360. Right now all we’ve announced is we’re working on 360 and PC.
We haven’t announced anything on that front.
Definitely doesn’t sound very hopeful, but it looks like the chance is still there. We wonder if BioWare will opt to release a a double pack down the road on PS3, consisting of the sequel and the original. That could explain why they’re holding out.
