Ben Heck’s PlayStation 3 Portable

Console modding guru Ben Heck, the man responsible for the elusive Xbox 360 laptop and Wii laptop, has worked his portable magic again. This time, with a PlayStation 3. Heckendorn ripped apart his original 60GB equipped PS3 and crammed all of its innards into a shiny laptop-fitting shell. He names it the PlayStation 3 Portable.

The PS3 turned laptop sports an 17″ HDMI-supported LCD screen, as well as a built-in QWERTY keyboard and stereo audio amplifier. To top it all off, the unit sports Sony’s trademark PS3 logo right under the LCD and the PlayStation brand insignia next to the keyboard.

Want this beast of a portable? The folks over at Engadget will be auctioning it off for charity soon.

In the coming weeks, Ben plans to publish a series of articles on how exactly he made this wonderful contraption. Once again, great work.
