As an added incentive to pick up Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood on PS3, Ubisoft today announced that it has struck an deal with Sony that encompasses ‘exclusive’ day-one DLC.

Here’s the skinny: the DLC, entitled Copernicus Conspiracy, sees Eizo assisting Renaissance astronomer Copernicus. Promised are additional assassination plots, joined by protection and courier missions. To sweeten the deal, it’s also free.

Look for availability on PSN to coincide during the week of the game’s launch, which is scheduled for November 16 in North America. There’s no word on whether this period of exclusivity is timed. If history is any indication, there is always the chance that this DLC pack could hit Xbox Live at a later date.
